Art Bank Loan Program Contributes to the Reach of Canadian Artists
By: ArtBank / 15 October 2019Did you know that the Art Bank lends artworks from its collection?
As a matter of fact, the Art Bank has a long-standing relationship with Canadian galleries, museums and other cultural institutions, facilitating loans from the collection for both solo and group exhibitions.
With more than 17,000 artworks by over 3,000 artists, the Art Bank has the largest collection of contemporary Canadian art anywhere. It houses paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs and prints by emerging and established artists from coast to coast to coast, including a significant number of artworks by Indigenous artists.
The Art Bank loans artworks to institutions of all sizes, from small community galleries to large national cultural organizations. What makes the Art Bank’s loan program attractive—especially to smaller galleries and cultural institutions—is the depth and breadth of the collection, in addition to the ease of borrowing. The Art Bank makes the loan process simple and easy to navigate.
Art Bank loans from April 1, 2019, to September 30, 2019
