Art Toronto VIP members have an exclusive opportunity to view over 30 artworks in the newly renovated corporate office of Canada Lands Company CLC Limited on a special tour with the Head of the Art Bank, Amy Jenkins.
Artworks by Harold Town, Archie Ishulutak, Simeonie Aqpik, Annie Kisusiutwa, and Eva Talukee
After completing renovations Canada Lands, a Crown Corporation, contacted the Art Bank with the objective of renting artwork that reflects who they are and what they represent: an innovative, collaborative, national real estate development company, a world-class attractions operator, and a company that values diversity and inclusiveness.
The result is a collection of artworks that spans mediums, decades, and genres. Works installed include a major painting from Harold Town (1964), hard-edged geometric paintings by Odette Théberge (1972) and innovative batik by Dorothy Caldwell (1988). The collection also includes some of the Art Bank’s most recent acquisitions including works by Marianne Nicolson (2010), Shary Boyle (2013) and Katharine Harvey (2017).
